Peacock Dives into Microdrama with Bravo’s Unscripted Hits

Microdramas have officially gone mainstream. After quietly raking in billions on platforms like ReelShort and DramaBox, Peacock is now jumping into the fray with two unscripted series from Bravo. These quick, engaging vertical videos promise a TikTok-like viewing experience, making them perfect for short attention spans.

Peacock’s Microdrama Offerings

The first microdrama, Salon Confessionals with Madison LeCroy, features the star of “Southern Charm” as she gives clients a makeover while they share their most dramatic stories. This series is designed to keep viewers hooked with its quick and entertaining format.

Another show, Campus Confidential: Miami, follows college students like Georgia Gay (daughter of Heather Gay from “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City”) through the ups and downs of campus life. Both series are set to stream exclusively on Peacock’s app, offering a new way for fans to engage with Bravo content.

The Future of Microdramas

Peacock is taking a significant step by producing microdramas, marking the first time a major U.S. streaming platform has ventured into this space. This move comes as microdrama apps are poised for a breakout year in the U.S., with app intelligence firm Appfigures reporting that ReelShort reached $1.2 billion in gross consumer spending in 2025, up 119% from 2024.

Other notable players include PineDrama on TikTok and Gamma Time, a microdrama app backed by Hollywood heavyweights like Alexis Ohanian, Kris Jenner, and Kim Kardashian. Despite the potential for low-quality content, users are flocking to these apps due to their addictive nature and cliffhangers that keep them coming back for more.

Peacock’s Strategy

Peacock is leveraging its existing user base of Bravo fans, who are already familiar with the network's popular shows like
